Community Sports Coach (Adults)

Based: Royal Borough of Greenwich  

Up to 22.00 - 27.50 dependent on qualifications

 

Community is at the heart of everything we do. Here at GLL, one of our key aims as a charitable social enterprise is to make sport and fitness available and accessible to the communities in which we operate. So we're looking for casual Community Sports Coaches in Greenwich East London to help us with a new initiative to encourage adults in Greenwich to access physical activity opportunities within their local community.

As a Community Sports Coach you'll deliver community satellite sessions for adults across the. You'll work in a variety of settings ranging community centres to leisure centres and other community settings including faith activity hall. Providing a fun, friendly and encouraging environment you'll pass on your knowledge to help improve participants performances whilst teaching the fundamental skills - you'll get great satisfaction seeing people progress and develop. A great communicator, you'll be able to promote and talk about physical activities and events on offer.

 

You need to hold instructors qualifications in Pilates, Tai Chi or Yoga, this will ensure that you can comfortably deliver high-quality sessions at a variety of levels, abilities and age groups. You'll need to be driven, passionate and enthusiastic about physical activity and sport in the community as well as improving health and wellbeing.
