Po’ Bros (named after the Po’ Boy sandwich) are here serving up New Orleans market classics, Louisiana style sandwiches, grab n’ go breakfasts, hot coffee and good ol’ Southern (London) charm. New in town, The Po’ Bros are here to offer an exciting new dimension to Flat Iron Square, serving up traditional New Orleans food from dawn till dusk from a sleek black trailer situated beside the southwark street gate.
We are excited to announce that we’re looking for a fun culinary enthusiast for a Head Chef position. You will be running the kitchen as well as your team, our po’ bros truck operates 6 days a week for lunch and dinner from Flat Iron Square, London Bridge.
We like to have fun as we work hard alongside the Front of House Staff of Flat Iron Square and we make the best Po’ Boys in town. If you feel like this is you, send us an email with your resume and we’ll take it from there!
- Oversee the day-to-day operations for the Food Truck services on a weekly basis with in house tasks. This is a full-time, year round position.
- Ensure all employees follow in-house policies and procedures and meets all hygiene, food safety & health and safety requirements.
- Plan all food prep needed for service and communicate that to the team in a timely manner.
- Maintain required records including food production, inventory and meal counts.
- Ensure Food Truck staff members follow proper sanitation procedures.
- Preside over Food Truck employees, including cooks, food preparers, cashiers, and other employees.
- Ensure safety standards are maintained while food is being cooked.
- Prepare and serve the food.
- Plan weekly/monthly specials
- Plan and maintain all serving ware (platters, serving utensils, etc) needed for events
- Respond to customer preferences and complaints.
- Maintain good working relationship with tvg hospitality
- Maintain all Food Truck equipment including refrigerator, stove, prep table and cookware.
- Ensure customer dining experience is satisfactory.
- Expedite food.
- Hire, recruit, and train Food Truck employees.
- Deliver orders to appropriate customers.
- Direct the cleaning of the Food Truck equipment.
- Keep records of supplies and purchases and make sure to get receipts to the accounts team
- Learn and utilize ‘GoodTill’ POS and other software deemed appropriate
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to develop a strong & happy team
EXPERIENCE (things we would love to see and we can also teach!)
- Prior food truck experience strongly preferred
- Kitchen knowledge and etiquette
