Key Purpose of the role:

 

Full responsibility for managing and leading the kitchen operations. The overall aim is to support the General Manager in the day-to-day managing of the operation by delivering the best possible customer experience, and cooking our food to perfection. Our Kitchen Managers will always comply with company policies and procedures in accordance with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation and play a key role in effectively managing business costs.

 

 

Responsibilities include:


•       Managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

•       Managing food orders and stock levels.

•       Cooking our food to specification and understanding the importance of quality and consistency. Working at pace and ensuring kitchen is running smoothly on all levels of business trade.

•       Ensuring all deliveries are being checked for quantity, quality and use-by date and are put away correctly in accordance with company policy and procedures.

•       Manages opening and closing procedures and ensures they are always completed in line with company standards and expectations.

•       Understands how to manage maintenance issues and reporting process.

•       Supports the delivery of all key training, identifying training needs and capability gaps within the team and can action with the wider management team.

•       Gets involved in team meetings.

•       Responsible for completing all areas of safety systems- daily, weekly, monthly, and other where required.

•       Ensure that you comply with legislation regarding Security, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Licensing laws and as per training provided.

•       Completion of rotas, in line timing deadlines and sales forecasts.

•       Can fully explain, oversee, and demonstrate the allergen procedures.

•       Being cost aware and protecting profit, whilst acting responsibly around business controls.

•       Deliver stock and labour to budget- weekly.

•       Responsible for kitchen team recruitment and talent planning.

•       Responsible for the management of stock, security and wastage and able to implement initiatives to control any areas of concern.
