The Basingstoke Country Hotel is a 100 bedroom-hotel that has ten conference suites in total, as well as a Bar & Restaurant and Spa facilities.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit a Full Time Maintenance Manager onto the team. You will be required to conduct various plumbing, carpentry, wall tiling and decorating. You will need to be fully familiar with all Health and Safety instructions relevant to your area of work. Weekend shifts may be required pending on business levels.

As Maintenance Manager you will be expected to;

• Supervise the daily operation of the maintenance team and in particular the planning and organisation of the maintenance teams’ work.
• Prepare specification and proposals for maintenance work required.
• Arrange and coordinate work with contractors ensuring it is completed to the required standard.
• Ensure effective control of purchases and supplies.
• Ensure H&S standards are maintained and managed within the department and hotel in respect of risk assessments, fire safety, COSHH, manual handling, working with electricity and gas and handling machinery.
• This list is not exhaustive, you may be asked to do other duties as and when required.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working within the field of maintenance & repairs. You must also have a keen attention to detail and the ability to take initiative when tackling problems. This role offers live in accommodation.
