Trafford Leisure is looking for an outstanding person to join our team, in the role of new role of Interim HR Specialist for a 12 month period (possibility to extend).  We promise a challenging but rewarding role within a Community Interest Company (CIC) that would be adding real value to the Trafford and wider Greater Manchester residents.

Trafford Leisure is a community interest company, we exist to benefit the Trafford community and we are committed to being a responsible and sustainable employer.   We are the largest operator of sport and leisure facilities in Trafford, operating eight indoor facilities, one golf course and driving range and 31 outdoor football pitches, attracting over 2 million visits per year and employing a workforce of over 300 people. Our team support, guide and motivate people and communities to get healthy and be active and we want YOU to become part of this fantastic team.

As the business recovers from COVID and we look forward to the future Trafford Leisure has a lot to be excited about. Alongside our recent £7million development of Urmston (Fitness & Wellbeing in Trafford, Greater Manchester (twmove.co.uk) which opened in 2020, Trafford Council will be continuing their investment plan into indoor Leisure in Trafford. Altrincham, Sale and Stretford’s Leisure Centre’s will be refurbished turning these busy but tired facilities into modern, inspiring, fit for purpose Centre’s under the continued roll out of Trafford Leisure’s new brand  and this is why we have a need for this additional role within the wider People team.

The role:

Reporting directly into the Head of People and Culture the successful candidate will be an experienced professional who has owned key HR projects previously who with support from the People team can take ownership and responsibility for delivery of key People, Culture and Wellbeing projects.

We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our team at an exciting period of change for Trafford Leisure, as we work to deliver on the investment programs.  These investments will require opening/closing some of our centers as the improvement works take place bringing a number of key people transformations that will require resource planning and consultations. In addition there are other key projects we are looking to implement to further improve our employee experience and this role will be essential in delivering on these changes including a review of the company policies, procedures and Staff Handbook.

You will need outstanding project management skills to drive and implement a robust project management approach. You must be capable of managing competing priorities under pressure whilst remaining calm and focused to ensure projects are effectively planned and delivered.

We are a small team at Trafford Leisure so you must be a team player who is able to build relationships and influence stakeholders, as well as having strong organisational skills with the ability to work proactively on your own initiative and to tight deadlines.

You must be proficient in Microsoft Teams and Excel and be data driven with the ability to analyse information to identify action areas.

Location:                     

Your primary location will be Altrincham Golf Course although you could be expected to work from our various sites across Trafford and we are happy to work flexibly with you.  In line with our Agile working policy there is the ability to work from home for some days and we would be happy to discuss this with you.
