JOB SUMMARY

A key role within the Housekeeping department that drives the operation and exceed cleanliness standards at all times within the hotel public areas. The Housekeeping public area attendant will take pride in their work at all times as they look to exceed guest expectations and create connections with the hotel's loyal guests. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining all areas of the hotel lobby, lower ground floor public areas including staircases, public bathrooms and staff changing rooms. Focus on all surfaces, floors and emptying trash before bringing a very high standard of cleanliness to the end result.

• Clean public and employee restrooms and showers, including stocking bathroom with adequate paper goods and soap, cleaning all surfaces, and emptying trash.
• Clean floor surfaces in public or employee space using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment (e.g., mops, buffers, vacuums, wet vacuum, extractor, shampoo machine, stain remover).
• Dust surfaces in assigned area, including furniture, fixtures, woodwork, pictures, public or house phones, fire extinguisher boxes, exit signs, and air vents.
• Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers for recycling or disposal.
• Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
• Discuss work topics, activities, or problems with co-workers, supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
