Sports Direct Malysia is currently looking for Group Financial Controller to join our growing team.

Job Description

  1. Responsible for preparation monthly closure of account with required schedules and bank reconciliation.
  2. To handle the routine in AP, AR and posting of journal entries
  3. To check and review transaction posted to accounting system and able to resolve any omission and wrong doing of entries posted to the system.
  4. Require to identify & handle daily operational issues, highlighting discrepancies and wrong posting of entry into related to GL codes
  5. Able to communicate and co-ordinate issues in or between departments within the organisation to ensure on-going of financial operation
  6. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies.
  7. Undertake ad hoc assignment as and when required by superior or management.
  8. Require to prepare the weekly cash flow forecast
  9. Require to support yearly budget & monthly cash flow projection.

 


Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor/Diploma/ Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
  • Min 5 years hands on experience, preferably with exposure in leading a small team
  • Experience working in FMCG/retail industry will be an added advantage

  • Able to work independently and work under pressure in meeting deadline

  • Good at logical thinking, interpersonal skills, communication skills

  • Able to communicate with staff/ department within the organisation

  • Preferably candidates who has exposure in retail industry
