Facilities Assistant - Worksop

Summary

Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as a Facilities Assistant plays a core part in providing exceptional standards of presentation for both visitors and staff.

What it's like to work here

Clumber Park is a beautiful expanse of parkland, heath and woods covering more than 3,800 acres. Clumber was once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle. From the Gothic-style chapel, often referred to as a 'Cathedral in miniature', you can follow in the footsteps of Dukes through the peaceful pleasure ground to the Walled Kitchen Garden where you can experience sights, scents and a taste of the past.
Reporting to the Facilities Co-Ordinator, you'll be working in a small and friendly team, responsible for statutory compliance tasks and the care and maintenance of the buildings at both Clumber Park and Mr Straw’s House. This is a very varied role where no two days are the same, and as a member of our maintenance team, you'll have access to behind the scenes areas that aren’t available to our visitors.

What you'll be doing

As a Facilities Assistant you'll assist with the daily maintenance and presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You'll turn your practical hand to reactive repairs and planned maintenance and will assist with regular compliance tasks, to ensure that our facilities are kept in good working order and that our properties comply with current Health & Safety legislation.
Duties such as fire alarm and emergency lighting testing, fire extinguisher and legionella checks will all form a core part of your role, as will working with all departments across the property, to ensure that day to day operations run as smoothly as possible. You’ll help us to look after our special places for future generations and ensure the highest standards of customer service by implementing a ‘customer comes first’ attitude and will.
