Job title: Operations Manager

Location: Aqua Splash Leisure Centre, Jersey, JE2 4HE

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, various shift pattens between Monday to Sunday

Salary: £28k to £32k per annum + excellent benefits

 

 ** In order for you to be considered for this role you need to have lived in Jersey for at least 5 years**

To deliver these services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we have an opportunity as we are looking to recruit for an Operations manager to join our team.

 

In this role you will be responsible for the operational performance of the facility and meeting the specifications and expectations of the Client, Trust and Serco.  You will also provide vision and leadership to ensure the aims and objectives of the Client, Trust and Serco. You will lead, manage and be responsible for the operations of the site and supporting the Contract Manager in developing the commerciality of the facility, as well as provide effective leadership to the leisure team with a clear focus on staff engagement and performance management.  

 

In addition to this, you will implement and manage a robust health & safety culture, develop, agree, and manage a robust strategy and annual plan to meet the contractual requirements and business targets, ensure effective financial management is in place to achieve profit and cash targets, conduct regular team meetings, monitoring and taking action to ensure business targets are met and ensure the day to day running of the service is maximised to performance and use of equipment and labour. 

 

Lastly, another aspect of this role will be to develop the appropriate suite of KPI’s and using the data to drive decision making and operational improvements, maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, provide excellent leadership and management so all employees understand and adopt the wider strategies and plans and are motivated to achieve their objectives. 

 

About you

 

First and foremost, to be considered for this role, you will have experience of facility management and confidence in applying management systems.  You should also have a working knowledge of Health & Safety at Work legislation and employment law and its practical application, as well as some experience in leisure or a service led background.

 

 

You will have excellent customer care, analytical and financial skills, have the ability to take a strategic approach to business, high personal integrity and motivation, maturity and calmness under pressure and have an open, honest, and outgoing personality.

 

Lastly, you will hold a Royal Lifesaving Society National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.and Pool Plant Operators Certificate (where appropriate) a First Aid at Work Certificate and a Health & Safety Certificate.
