Commis Chef

The position:

We are looking for a Commis Chef to join our team at Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat in Cockermouth, Cumbria. Terrific competitive salary!

This is a permanent position to work full time hours. This will be 40 hours across 5 variable days.

Main responsibilities:

The successful Commis Chef will

• Work alongside our skilled Head Chef and friendly kitchen team.
• Assist with food preparation, waste management and portion control.
• Perform consistently in line with the company’s high standards.
• Take responsibility for prompt preparation and food service.
• Accurate and efficient stock rotation.
• Ensure clean, hygienic and tidy workspaces within the kitchen at all times.
• Comply with all food hygiene regulations at all times.

Requirements:

Previous experience within a busy kitchen environment is desired. Catering qualifications and Level 3 Food Safety are desirable but not essential. A driving licence and ability to drive is an advantage to enable easy travel to and from the resort.
