Job Description

Create and maintain forecasts to meet the sales demand and ensure correct stock levels at all times with our online and store channels. Maximise revenue and margin within stock and cash targets by maintaining agreed levels of availability.

Management of ranged lines to agreed levels of availability.

  • Manage parameters within TXT to generate purchase orders that are in line with stock targets.
  • Maintain forecasts to ensure replenishment occurs against day's forward cover.
  • Inform suppliers, Finance and Logistics of forecasts and intake as required.
  • Review and analyse performance of products to identify trends and improvements for future forecasts.

 

Produce store allocations for new release titles.

  • Use agreed modelling parameters to produce new release allocations.
  • Review and analyse performance to identify trends and improvements for future titles.
  • Ensure forward forecasts are in TXT and are closely monitored following the release date.
  • Communicate allocations to operations, logistics and commercial teams as required.

 

Manages promotional activity within TXT to support commercial activity.

  • Ensure upcoming promotions are managed within TXT to ensure the required stock levels are in the channels to support the activity.
  • Manage the forecasts during the promotion to maximise availability.
  • Analyse the promotional performance to understand learnings going forward.
  • Communicate allocations of stock to operations, logistics and commercial teams as required.
  • Actively manage replenishment parameters in TXT, to ensure allocations are correct to support availability.

 

Use the weekly recall process to help optimise inventory.

  • Propose products for recall that require redistribution, RTV or to support the online range.
  • Manage parameters within TXT to match recall requirements.
  • Liaise with Logistics department to plan and co-ordinate recall activity.

 

Works within OTB and Stock target parameters to maintain availability

  • Maintain an intake plan which falls within the OTB and stock target parameters to ensure availability of key lines is maintained by purchasing stock at the correct time.
  • Ability to prioritise cash spend if required.

Qualifications

  • Experience within a similar role in a multi-channel retailer (ideal, but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Excel - Intermediate level.
  • Able to analyse data to use as support for decision-making.
  • Strong team player, able to work with, support and learn from others.
  • Must be able to develop and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Needs to be adaptable to an ever changing environment to ensure continuous change with business requirements.
  • Continually strives to improve departmental and personal goals.
  • Is able to plan, organise and manage key KPI's in a fast paced and pressured environment which is very reactive to the market.
  • Resilience, flexibility and a willingness to undertake varied responsibilities working alone or as part of a team
  • A professional, confidential and flexible approach to working with people
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and at times conflicting priorities as well as tracking progress on a wide range of tasks
