During your DofE programme, you will volunteer for as little as two hours a week for a minimum of three months, but this can change depending on your role and how much time you can give.

Volunteering with Gymnastics Trafford will have an interesting and impactful way, to invest in yourself, through developing your social skills, how to work as part of a team, and with mentors and coaches to learn new coaching techniques and skill progression, and develop gymnastics and our own self-confidence as a volunteer leader.

The availability of volunteering positions for particular age groups will be made according to whether we can offer the appropriate level of support, to ensure volunteers have a positive experience.

Volunteer Assistant Junior Coach Skills:

• Helping maintain a safe & fun learning environment
• Helping primary children learn foundation skills of gymnastics
• Developing your communication and leadership skills
• Developing your knowledge of foundation gymnastics skill progression
• Meet and greet gymnasts and their accompanying guardian/parent
• Being a role model to others

Available gymnastics volunteering positions:

• Sale Leisure Centre – Wednesday 4pm – 6pm & Saturday 9am – 11am
• Altrincham Leisure Centre – Tuesday & Wednesday 4pm – 6pm, Friday 5pm – 7pm and Saturday 9am – 11am
