Simply Gym are seeking to appoint a General Manager for our flagship gym in Cheltenham. The gym was opened in 2011 and extends to 30,000sqft of open plan space with large cardio, weights and functional training areas, 2 aerobics studios, a ladies only gym, changing rooms and ample free parking. Designed with a capacity of upto 6,000 members the gym is regularly busy and aerobics studio classes are always in demand.  

Simply Gym Ltd currently operate 8 sites nationally with additional sites planned to open soon. Our gyms are modern, spacious, well equipped, and focus on the member experience with studio classes playing a big role in what we offer. The Cheltenham gym operates 24hrs and will be staffed by the General Manager, an Assistant Manager, Duty Managers and a team of Personal Trainers.

Key responsibilities:

• Proactively attract, recruit and retain staff
• Achieve membership sales and retention targets
• Manage timetabling of studio classes
• Ensure equipment and facilities are correctly maintained and serviced
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety laws and company policies

Candidates should have managerial experience in the leisure industry, and qualifications in Gym/ Studio class instructing would be advantageous.

General Managers Salary will be competitive and depend upon experience. Simply Gym are an equal opportunities employer.
