Pay Rate: £10.15

Working Hours: Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,Saturday,Sunday,Variable Shift Rota - 08:30 - 16:30, 09:00 - 17:00, 09:30 - 17:30 - 20 hours per week

Atalian Servest is currently recruiting for a Cleaner to join our passionate and driven team in Bristol!

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure that the standards of the rooms are delivered back to the Housekeeping department to an exceptional standard of cleanliness and set up in line with Brand Standards to meet the Guest experience requirements. Ensure that all periodic cleaning takes place on time and in line with Brand Standards
  • To clean the rooms in line with the required Brand standards and ensure that trolleys if appropriate are kept neat and tidy at all times
  • To have a sound knowledge of the cleaning procedures and methods of work to be undertaken
  • To replace towels, soap, toilet rolls, stationery and other items as specified in the Brand Standard document within each guests room (Departure and Stay-over rooms)
  • To change linen in all Departures rooms, and Stay-over rooms as instructed and ensure that all linen is presented to the required standard ensuring no rips, tears, stains or creasing
  • To ensure that all rubbish in departure rooms and only rubbish in the bathroom and bedroom bins in stay over rooms, is removed prior to cleaning and correctly separated as directed
  • To ensure that all dirty linen is removed from room prior to cleaning and placed down the linen chute
  • To ensure that all departure rooms are cleaned first unless told otherwise by the Floor Manager or Housekeeping Office.
  • To ensure that all maintenance faults are reported
  • To ensure that VIP rooms are cleaned with extra care and attention
  • To ensure that priority rooms are cleaned immediately unless directed otherwise by your Floor Manager
  • To check vacant rooms as requested by your Floor Manager or the Housekeeping office
  • To undertake tidy ups and changes to bed status as requested by your Floor Manager or the Housekeeping office
  • To ensure that all Jobs of the day/week are completed and delivered to the standards laid down
  • To spring clean rooms when requested by the Housekeeping Management team
  • To use water and electricity sparingly and to switch off lights when leaving the room
  • To work as quietly as possible and minimise the noise level for other guests
  • Ensure that you are familiar with the lost property procedure, which is to be strictly adhered to for all items left by Guests
  • To be continually aware of the need for stringent Hotel security and always work with the door closed
  • To deal with guest queries and requests as efficiently and politely as possible ensuring that the service delivered minimises these exceptions. Never ignore a guest request and always remember to ask for assistance if the instruction is unclear
  • To be held fully responsible for any floor key that is issued to you and that it is signed in and out at Security
  • Ensure that you always sign in and out of Duty in the Housekeeping Office
  • To ensure that service areas are left tidy at the end of each shift.
  • To be polite and courteous to all colleagues and ensure that you contribute to a happy work environment within the Housekeeping department and work as part of a team
  • To maintain high standards of appearance and personal hygiene, to wear the correct uniform (no visible tattoos, hair to be tied back, no excessive make up or jewellery) according to the Brand Standards at all times.
  • To ensure that you are trained and aware of the proper use and control of all cleaning materials and equipment
  • Use equipment to ensure that productivity is met and respect the machinery and environment at all times including reporting faults immediately they occur with equipment
  • To uphold hotel regulations at all times
  • To ensure that you are trained and aware of the proper use and control of all cleaning materials and equipment

About You:

  • A background in cleaning would be advantageous.
  • Experience in working within a team.
  • You will be able to work to deadlines and prioritise as well as being flexible with working hours and days.

Successful candidates will be required to complete a Drug and Alcohol test.
