Hospitality Assistant (Conference & Banqueting)

30 Euston Square, Searcys - Award winning conference and events venue

Full-time (40), Part-time (20)

11.60 per hour plus Overtime

Our dynamic, fun and award winning hospitality and banqueting team host a variety of events from boardroom meetings, large conferences and exhibitions to cocktail parties, BBQs and formal dinners. We are looking for outgoing and talented waiters whom enjoy working in large teams with a passion for food, beverage and customer service. Training will always be offered in all aspects of the role, so both skilled and new hospitality professionals will find support to develop in their respective roles.

Contract hours are suitable for a range of availabilities including 40 and 20. Please advise your hiring manager if your are looking for full-time or part-time work and your availability. You will be asked to be available weekdays and weekends including early starts or post midnight finishes where events are booked.

The successful candidates will have a flair for hospitality, enjoy working in dynamic teams and support creative thinking to improve the service and offer. Candidates wanting to achieve career progression within a fantastic catering operator will find training and support in a structured and high achieving team.

Main Purpose:

  • To provide excellent food, beverage and customer service
  • To work autonomously or within in a team
  • To adapt to different working conditions (both busy, loud & quiet exam conditions)
  • To be punctual and have a good command in time management, organising
  • To have a positive attitude and good communication skills
  • To have a good knowledge of spoken & written English
  • To be able to solve any customer service related problem.

Most of the time Hospitality Assistant's duties are confined to catering, however, staff do spend some time organising furniture in the seminar rooms, keeping an eye on audio visual equipment, or helping in the cloakroom. Due to the fact that the venue is a seven-floor building and boasts of 6 different kitchens and pantries, communication is the crucial rule of providing successful catering service.
