Senior Conference and Events Planner
Now is an exciting moment to join the team at the Hilton London Metropole. The hotel has just finished a transformational refurbishment, updating all of its Food & Beverage outlets, Bedrooms, Public Areas and Meeting Space, setting us well on our way to becoming Europe's Leading Conference & Event's Hotel! Following the completion of the refurbishment, the hotel now boasts 1,090 bedrooms, a state of the art fitness centre, four unique restaurants and bars, 35+ meeting rooms, including three ballrooms with capacity for over 1,350 guests, as well as an exclusive event space with unparalleled breath-taking skyline views across London. Responsible for supporting team members on a daily basis with any queries and issues that may arise and engaging with them to ensure well-being and satisfaction. Has the responsibility to assist the management to drive and deliver positive results. Essential functions:

Ensure the Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Planner Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling and upselling techniques, and billings;
·Focus on a consistently executed bespoke approach for each event, with excellent attention to detail be able to maximize the up-selling opportunities;
Plan and manage the event from after the contract stage until the pre conference meeting.
To conduct “exit“ meetings/interviews at the end of each event;
Versatile and positive in developing and managing customer relationships with a high standard of communication;
To fully understand the needs of the customer and strive to meet or exceed those expectations at all times;
Participate in hotel promotional activities;
Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records in Hilton Bookings Systems;

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Positive attitude and good communication skills
· Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
· Confident telephone manner
· Excellent grooming standards and strong skills in time management, organisation and coordination
· Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively under time and resource constraints
· Demonstrated previous experience working in a Sales environment
Have fantastic attention to detail

Knowledge of the hotel property management systems: Delphi or Salesforce
Demonstrated previous experience working in an events planning role, ideally in a large hotel.
