Payroll Processing Analyst

Position Statement: The Payroll Analysts provide daily operations support, focusing on service delivery and operational excellence. Payroll Analysts work in partnership with the Shared Service Center (SSC) to ensure accuracy and adherence to Hilton’s policies. Payroll Analysts address discrepancies in coordination across the payroll function, the SSC, and other stakeholders who provide payroll inputs. Payroll Analysts are champions for a positive team member (employee) experience, continuous improvement, and risk mitigation. The payroll analyst will perform payroll processing activities, and will work with other key teams to ensure payroll input is accurately processed. Under the direction of the Payroll Team Leader, supporting the delivery of the payroll processes, for approx. 10,000 employees and c. 24 PAYE references. Working with the Payroll Team Leader, the payroll analyst will provide business support and perform payroll analysis, processing, calculations and resolutions as part of the payroll processing tasks. The payroll analyst should have prior payroll processing experience and understanding of UK statutory payroll calculation requirements and compliance requirements. Position Summary: Under the guidance of Payroll Team Leader, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of Payroll processes to agreed timetables and Service Level Agreements. The Payroll Analyst will work with the Senior Analysts and Team Leader in the processing team, to ensure that the payroll processes are accurately completed and delivered on time. Liaise with peers across HR with reference to new starters, leavers, and other pay-impacting changes to Team Member details.
Create and/or maintain management reports, including monthly results, quarterly and year-end reports (i.e. gross payroll, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.).
Support specialised calculation activities, such as SSP, SMP, Company sick and company maternity pay.
Research and interpret regulatory requirements and resolve tax, withholding, compensation and pension issues for payroll processing.
Import input/check results in Oracle Cloud payroll system
Work with the Shared Service Centre team in Hyderabad to assist with payroll queries.
Admin tasks relating to payroll function, such as P45 distribution, pension auto-enrolment queries, HMRC queries.
