Duty Manager - Sprinters Leisure Centre
Fitness Duty Manager
Based:: Prestwood Gym & Fitness Centre ** up to 24,091 **
GLL is looking for a Fitness Duty Manager based at Prestwood Gym & Fitness Centre in Buckinghamshire. If you have the talent and ambition to be a Fitness Manager, there's never been a more exciting time to join us at GLL Prestwood.
We're looking for experienced Fitness professionals looking for their first step into management or Duty Managers who are passionate about the fitness industry. So, if you're looking for a desk job, this isn't for you - as there's no such thing as a typical day as a Duty Manager at Prestwood. That's what makes the role so special.
Here, you could be doing anything from unlocking the centre and carrying out safety checks, to hosting a fitness class as the instructor, to guiding new members through the joining process, to providing advice and support to our members in the gym.
This is not a typical leisure facility, here you will enjoy great social interaction with your customers as the member of staff on duty. We lone work at this centre so a high level of initiative is required and a customer focused attitude. Your standards as an Instructor need to be high as do your facility presentation skills.
This is an exciting time to join the team as we commence with significant investment into the centre on 4th July which will expand the fitness studio, increase the size of the gym, provide a dedicated functional area and upgrade the overall standards with new flooring, decorations and signage.
If you're a fast-thinker who's calm under pressure, responsible and a natural with people from all walks of life, this is your chance to progress as a Fitness Duty Manager. We also look for integrity, a can-do attitude, health and safety knowledge, and a customer service focus, combined with relevant professional qualifications such as Fitness Instructor, First Aid at Work and Fitness Class Instructor (desirable).
In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
Pension schemes
Ride to work scheme
Discounted membership at our leisure centres
The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we're run plus associated social events
Career pathways
Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best
If you have the passion and skills for this role, then apply now
Closing date: 31/07/22
All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications and location.
To be shortlisted for the role, internal applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to GLL by becoming a Society member where eligible.
