Many of our staff at Virgin work flexibly and in many different ways, different core hours or remote working. Please talk to us at your application or interview stage about the flexibility you need. We can't promise to give you exactly what you want, but we are happy to explore what's possible for the role.

In a nutshell

We have an incredible opportunity to champion the transformation of the Finance function, leading and coordinating change to drive improvements across systems, process and people experience.

With some key deliverables for this interim role, the immediate focus will be on the successful implementation of a new ERP, working with the project and technology teams at every stage to ensure the project delivers the process and systems transformation that underpins the organisation's vision for a high performing Finance function.

You'll be pivotal in motivating and leading the finance team through this change, pressing for opportunities to rationalise, simplify and automate processes. Also responsible for co-ordinating change across Finance, ensuring that change activity is appropriately prioritised, tracked and co-ordinated in line with the overarching vision.

Day to Day

Support delivery of the Finance Systems Roadmap (ERP implementation) for 2022-2024 period
Coordinate and lead the finance process re-design as part of ERP implementation, challenging teams to step away from the "as is" and embrace "out of the box" solutions
Foster positive collaborative relationships both internally and externally to ensure change is delivered as seamlessly and efficiently as possible, with particular focus on cross functional stakeholders and external partners.
Stay abreast of trends and change in both the industry and wider finance markets to set a vision for VAL Finance and enable horizon planning
Provide thought leadership on expected future challenges faced by Finance teams and proactively seek out solutions
Support the finance leadership team in maintaining a holistic view of change across the function, with robust mechanisms to capture, prioritise and monitor change

About you

To achieve incredible things in this role, relationship building is going to be fundamental. Do you pride yourself on creating lasting effective working relationships with both the business and external partners?

Some of the key things we're looking for are:

Proven experience with Change Management (ideally with ERP implementation) and the need to bring groups together to lead change
Confidence and experience in working at senior levels within an organisation
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
High levels of self-motivation and able to work in an autonomous way
Agility to work within a fluid, cross matrix and evolving environment
Ideally a background in Finance, to be able support the changes across the teams but not essential
Excellent communication skills and presentation skills (written and oral) including the ability to efficiently communicate with technical and non-technical groups

If this sounds like you and this journey of transformation sounds exciting, we would love to hear from you!
