Head Chef
Don't miss your chance to join Liverpool streets hottest 24 hour Bar/ Restaurant. Our chic dining establishment directly opposite Liverpool Street Station is looking for a Head Chef to join our team. In brief, the successful candidate will be a creative and motivated individual with a hands on approach to prep and service. They will have culinary experience of a minimum of 4 years in British Cafe centric cuisine and impeccable people management skills.
This is a full time position which equates to 45 -50 hours per week on 10 hour shifts with some nights and weekends on rotation.
Salary:
£45,000.00 plus per year excluding service charge, performance bonus and yearly bonus' OTE £65K
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development / Food Creation
- Ensuring all food quality and company standards are met including food temperature is up to standard and on time
- Oversee kitchen management with financial analysis in relation to purchasing and costs
- Select, train, develop, coach, manage kitchen team performance and motivate them to being excellet and ensure efficient running of the kitchen operations
- Participate in events and promotion campaigns to promote the restaurants personality
- Hands on prep and supervise the production of dishes for inhouse customers and for delivery platforms.
- Check food plating standards and temperature before food is served to customers.
- Facilitate the purchasing of supplies and food.
- Manage wastage and stock rotation with effective delegation of duties.
- Work with GM to create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure there are always enough workers to meet the demand, particularly for the busy periods.
- Taking pride in ensuring the kitchen is consistently clean and organised
- Create a training programme for all the kitchen brigade (15 people)
- Managing and enforcing the kitchen staffs adherence to Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations

Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Willing to work a 24 hour flexible schedule
- Experience with delegating tasks and maintaining quick service.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- London, Greater London: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
Experience:
- Leadership: 1 year (preferred)
- Chefs: 5 years (preferred)
