CHILD & FAMILY PRACTITIONER (SESSIONAL/BANK)

 

Zero hours contract 11.30ph +12.07% AL paid allowance 

 

Location: Royal Borough of Greenwich - Abbey Wood and Thamesmead

 

Better, East Children's Centres are currently recruiting Child & Family Practitioners for our bank of staff to work across our four Children's Centres. Part of the duties involved will be to support vulnerable families' and signposting where necessary, and to support the delivery of children centre activities which include; universal stay and play sessions, training crches, and after school activities. You will also be required to cover nursery ratio.

 

High quality early learning and care which is in line with Early Years Foundation Stage requirements will be essential to your role. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as you will work with colleagues and partners to integrate this role with the wider children's centre services to help identify and support the needs of local families with young children.

 

You will have experience of working with children under five years of age and their families with a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Child Development (or equivalent) and be able to respond to both group and individual needs. Knowledge of safeguarding issues and procedures and an understanding of equality and diversity issues is essential in this role. It goes without saying you will be a confident team member with a positive driven approach and flexible attitude. You may will be required to work flexibly as part of a rota between 07.45 and 18.00.
