Senior Project Manager - Altrincham

Summary

Key here you must be a qualified and experienced Project Manager, capable of increasing the capability of existing and future team members. So people skills also rank as very important.

Through the project “Make it Happen”, you’ll drive a project pipeline in 5 themed areas:

  • building conservation works
  • active travel links
  • holiday accommodation creation
  • nature gain
  • visitor experience improvements.

We expect the project spend will double to at least £2m annually within three years.

A little context on Dunham Massey in Cheshire is one of the Trust’s most special properties, with a garden for all seasons, an ancient deer park, a large agricultural estate and a house filled with treasures, enjoyed by over 800,000 visitors annually.

We have designed this as a lifestyle role of 4 days per week, at a salary in the region of £44,000 for the 4 day week, in a great location, with talented people.

What it's like to work here

Whilst you will be within the Dunham Massey sphere, your high-profile work will be integrated into our National Trust Consultancy which provides properties with advice and practical support across the full range of conservation, marketing and supporter development activities.

You will be a senior member the Trust’s wider project management community and we are looking for an active and enthusiastic contributor in this space.




What you'll be doing

Project pipeline management will exact your skills of

  • comprehensive client briefs,
  • completing feasibility processes (including costs and consents),
  • building support with our tenants and other key stakeholders
  • warming up potential funding organisations.

This new Make it Happen approach will test new approaches on behalf of the North region and inform organisational learning and you’ll need to commit to sharing learning, progress, challenges and impacts widely.




Who we're looking for

This role is a pioneering leadership and delivery role. Your ability to communicate well, listening to and influencing a busy property leadership team while modelling inclusive, values-driven behaviour in your group.

You'll have experience of successfully delivering complex end to end project / programme management including defining resources, leading multi-million £ procurement and managing the finances, securing project teams and matrix management, across multiple projects/programmes.  

You'll hold a recognised project (ChPP /APM PMQ) or programme management (MSP) qualification, show evidence of ongoing CPD in your career to date. You’ll have coaching and mentoring experience with a proven ability to improve performance. Your experience may also include delivery of projects in Building Conservation and Construction
