Summary

Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as a Service Assistant plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service. Do you enjoy helping people and providing a great service?

You will be joining a team of 10 Welcome & Service Assistants, mainly based at the vestibule of the mansion or at the Visitor Welcome building but supporting with the Come out and Play theme for the summer months as well as any other events or activities.

The Hours: Flexible hours available which includes weekend shifts; to be discussed at interview. The shift pattern, after an induction period, would be between 2-3 days per week made up of 4-6 hours per shift. This could potentially increase due to sickness, annual leave cover and through any other needs of the property.  

The Salary: £9.60 per hour

Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 30th October 2022

Speke Hall is a distinctive black and white Tudor house situated on the banks of the River Mersey. This is a demanding, yet rewarding time to join the property as the team is currently working hard to deliver an ambitious master plan. What you'll be doing

In this role, you’ll be;

  • Supporting the Visitor Experience Team in the planning and delivery of events at times throughout the year.
  • Promote events, offers, products and benefits of actively supporting the National Trust
  • Working alongside the staff team and volunteers in delivering outstanding customer service across the property
  • Working across our site, welcoming and admitting visitors to the property, providing information and orientation
  • Working on our property tills selling admission tickets, processing payments of activities and events and promoting our Growing Support strategy (Memberships/Donations/Fundraising)
  • Support across the property/portfolio when required
