Summary

The Accounts Payable team is a customer focused processing team tasked with ensuring all processing functions are carried out in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. The section is responsible for the processing of all supplier invoices (paper and electronic), volunteer/staff expenses, utility invoices and petty cash claims. 
We’re a charity but, make no mistake, we have our fingers firmly on the financial pulse. Because every penny of our profit goes back into our vital work, it’s crucial that we’re operating an excellent and efficient financial service to achieve our vision.
Internally this role is known as Accounts Payable Clerk.

Your contractual location will be Epsom Court. We are currently operating a hybrid working schedule structured around three days in the office and two days working at a flexible location.



What you'll be doing

As part of the National Trust Accounts Payable team in the Finance Service Centre working from the office based in Trowbridge, you will be customer focused and responsible for processing all supplier invoices/credits, matching to purchase orders, plus other varied financial transactional processing, including volunteer/staff expenses and petty cash.
You will work across several systems and ensure that accurate processing and timely payments are made in compliance with National Trust policy, contracts, controls, and Service Level Agreements (SLA's).

•Experience in, and understanding of, Accounts Payable (Purchase to Pay - P2P) financial accounting practices and its impact on other areas•Strong numerical accuracy•Prioritisation skills, whilst also maintaining attention to detail •Ability work accurately with and interpret financial data•Ability to information gather•Adaptability in a fast-paced environment•Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and experience in the use of Finance ERP packages
