Project Support Co-ordinator - Swindon

Summary

*** INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY***

We have an opportunity for a Project Support Coordinator to join the national Visitor Experience Delivery team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

We’re looking for a well-organised individual who’ll support the project team to deliver large scale nationally coordinated visitor programmes to engage and delight family visitors at our places. This role will support the development of an outdoor trail, and other nature engagement activities in Spring, focussing on Easter and the school holidays; they may also focus on nature engagement and other family activities during the summer holidays. Through your excellent coordination, communication, and administrative skills you will be instrumental in helping the Project Manager to deliver a successful set of project outputs.

If you have a passion for delivering amazing playful experiences for families, we would love to hear from you.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months and we’re open to exploring this as a development or secondment opportunity.

What it's like to work here

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid (home/office) working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve some travel to our head office to meet with stakeholders and to carry out work.

You’ll be based in the national Visitor Experience Delivery team; we provide direction for the experiences we offer people at our places across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our job is to ensure teams in regions, countries and at properties have the inspiration, guidance and practical support they need to provide amazing visitor experiences at our places. By doing that, we help teams meet the needs of our visitors, deliver great service and maintain high standards and help to grow audiences. We believe in putting people at the heart of delivering great experiences and ensuring the mindset of the visitor is central to everything we do.

What you'll be doing

The role will support the delivery of our two most important seasonal visitor programmes for families (Easter and Summer), providing fun, playful and memorable days out at our places and growing support for the organisation. You will also work alongside colleagues in the team helping to support the delivery of other seasonal visitor programmes at key times such as autumn, winter, and Christmas. You will ensure the necessary materials (such as nature trails and other seasonal activities, prizes, supporting signage etc) are designed brilliantly, delivered to properties in a timely way, and our teams have the right support to feel confident making these programmes happen at their place. You’ll evaluate these programmes, and their impact, so we can continue to develop seasonal family programming which delight and inspire our audiences.

You will be accountable for working with, and co-ordinating across, teams in experiences, marketing, commercial, operations and with external partners to ensure a seamless experience for family visitors.

Who we're looking for

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what is possible in this role.
For this position we are looking for:
  • Some previous practical experience in supporting projects to deliver success, with excellent organisational and coordination skills, high attention to detail, an ability to follow and create processes, and effectively handle and interpret large sets of data.
  • Someone who can build and nurture relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and who are quick to build effective working relationships within a team, but also able to work independently
  • Be confident and capable with strong interpersonal skills, curious and empathic, open to learn, as well as the ability to liaise with staff, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Communicate well, with strong verbal and communication skills with a proven ability to research, collate and communicate information in a clear and compelling way through a range of verbal and written forms to a variety of audiences.
  • Service led, and personally driven to provide a high level of support through internal communications for our people and teams across the organisation.
  • Have a passion for, and/or, experience of delivering family visitor programming/experiences in the heritage sector, helping to facilitate opportunities to create special moments to delight our audiences.
