Contract Manager - Downham Health & Leisure Centre - Lewisham, London

Reports To: Managing Director

Introduction:

This role requires an inspirational and strong leader with proven flair, operational and commercial ability, as well as the skill, enthusiasm, and determination to drive and develop the facility. We're looking for an individual with the experience of managing a large team and driving the commerciality of the centre forward, with particular focus on fitness and swim school growth. You will need to be  self-driven and able to manage numerous stakeholder relationships.  Reporting directly to the Operations Director and having frequent dialogue with the exec team you will need to have strong communication and skills and experience of working with the senior management team.

The Role:

To inspirationally lead and manage the day to day running of the centre

To lead and deliver the commercial performance of the business including swim, fitness and other income lines

To lead and deliver the operational excellence of the facility and deliver contractual obligations

To deliver the set KPIs and use all systems, policy and procedures effectively

To recruit, train, develop and motivate their own team and lead them to success. 

The Candidate:

Must have a proven and successful track record of management experience within a leisure related industry, ideally with fitness and swim experience

Must be passionate about customer service and be an inspirational leader in the way they manage.

Desirable but not essential, experience working with 3^rd party stakeholders, ideally local authority clients

Must have a proven track record in driving sales and co-ordinating local marketing activity as well as of recruiting and managing a successful team.

Minimum experience as a General Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility or multi-site operation.
