Reporting To: Chief Commerical Operations Officer

The Company:

A young, dynamic, fast paced company in the fitness space are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join the team. With an ambitious expansion plan in place, this is an amazing opportunity for a dynamic and driven, high performer, that really wants to learn and make this role their own!

The Role:

The principal purpose of the Marketing Assistant role is to support the Chief Commercial Operations Oficer to deliver increased levels of profit (EBITDA). This will be achieved through implementing the marketing plan and providing marketing support to all of our UK locations.

This role requires an individual with good organisational skills and someone that can work on multiple projects at the same time.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all clubs social media including scheduling branded posts and assisting clubs with local content.
  • Create simple imagery and work with design agency for bigger projects.
  • Design, create and deploy marketing emails which will be sent to various different groups including members and potential members.
  • Update club websites ensuring all new stores are set up correctly and existing clubs are following brand standards.
  • Support all clubs ‘Local Store Marketing’ plans are in place and that they have adequate promotional materials.
  • Work with the design agency to evolve the collateral and campaign design’s, within the prescribed brand guidelines.
  • Assist CCOO to streamline the ordering process for collateral, in order to realise savings and improve speed of delivery.
  • Work with the Administration Manager to develop “new store marketing packs”.
  • Research competitors and analyse industry on a regular basis.
  • Work with the Administration Manager on team events / award night planning.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will be passionate about fitness – that is non-negotiable.
  • You are highly motivated, energetic individual that works well under pressure
  • A well organises ‘doer’ that can pick things up quickly
  • You are a brilliant communicator – written and verbal.
  • Experience in the fitness industry is an advantage but not essential.
  • You have strong digital marketing experience, especially when it comes to social media management – Facebook and Instagram.
  • Experience in using Hootsuite is desirable.
  • You would describe yourself as at an Intermediate or advanced level when it comes to Google AdWords and Google Analytics.
  • You have experience of running email CRM programmes. From the selection of the tools, defining the programmes and making those programmes come to life through content management and creativity.
  • You’ll be knowledgeable about how to introduce automation and technology to the department in order to improve efficiency and maximise speed of delivery.
  • You will be known for your organisational skills and moving at a fast pace.
  • Others would describe you as reliable and approachable.
