Fitness Instructor - Brighton, East Sussex

This is a great opportunity to join Sport Brighton which aims to increase fitness and sporting opportunity for students, staff and the wider community at the University of Brighton.
We have invested in an extensive and varied portfolio of facilities across three campuses from Eastbourne to Brighton and your experience in the fitness industry will help us ensure high levels of customer service, health and safety and quality assurance.
Based primarily at our brand new 90 station fitness suite and double class studio within the extensively regenerated main campus on Lewes road, we are recruiting a new team of instructors to oversee and develop this exciting addition. Working on a rotational shift pattern that includes evenings and weekends, you will work as part of a vibrant, forward-thinking team overseeing facility operations, member experience and undertaking class/programme delivery.
To succeed in the role of developing Sport Brighton engagement, retention and utilisation, you will need a sound working knowledge of the fitness industry at a delivery and supervisory level, strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation and the ability to manage time and workload effectively.
In addition to which you should have:
- A Level 2 fitness qualification
- A class instructing qualification/training (for example exercise to music, spin instructor, yoga)
- Learning gained through study/learning and prior work experience in fitness industry
- A commitment to delivering a high quality service to our members
