Location: Oswestry Leisure Centre

Working Hours: School Holidays, weekend and evenings

Salary: £6.56 - £8.91 per hour

We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for Activity Leaders to join our fun and vibrant team.

 

This is an exciting role which involve a mixture of activities including the school holidays camps, birthday parties and roller discos which you will be required to run and engage with our customers. In this role you will work with your fellow team members to plan and deliver a safe, fun and engaging program of sports, arts and craft activities that meets the needs of our customers who will be aged 4 to 12 years.

 

Your days will be varied and will include providing activity sessions, coaching various sports, handing out lunch bags and making sure the kids are enjoying themselves, are well looked after and have the best experience possible.

 

This is your chance to be involved in in a fantastic scheme keeping children entertained during the school holidays and various activites. You will go home each day with a huge sense of satisfaction at the difference you have made.

 

We share your passion for leisure, and we will offer a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent development opportunities, including supporting you in achieving Swimming Teacher and/or Lifeguarding qualifications which will enable you to take on casual roles at your local Centre during term times and school holidays if you so wish.  You will also receive a free gym membership for you and a family member across our fantastic leisure centres!

 

About you

 

First and foremost, you will need to have excellent customer service skills, communication and organisational skills as well as be comfortable working with children. We welcome applications from candidates aged 16 and above.

 

We are looking for candidates who are outgoing, enthusiastic and highly motivated to be considered for this role.

 

Lastly, it’s desirable that you hold a sport specific, play work qualification, paediatric first aid certificate as well as child protection however this is not essential as full training will be provided.
