POSITION: Full time with benefits

Southwark Quarter is a sprawling cultural campus nestled in London’s bankside next to Borough Market, the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe theatre. Founded in 2016, Southwark Quarter is best known for its multi-award winning music venue, Omeara which sits central to all of the offerings, as well as Flat Iron Square,an outdoor beer garden which really established itself during the summer of 2018 as one of the greatest atmospheres for major sporting events and small urban festivals.

tvg hospitality is a global entertainment & hospitality operator with offices in the United Kingdom & the United States. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Protect and enhance the reputation of the bar as a best-in-class destination for food and drink and enhanced customer experience.
  • Recruit, develop and lead the casual teams, setting objectives and identifying growth potential in order to ensure high levels of employee engagement and retention.
  • Own the stock holding and be responsible for achieving GP and COGs targets in your business unit.
  • Develop, review and implement staffing strategies to ensure adequate resourcing in line with customer experience and labour productivity targets in your areas of responsibility.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with purchasing and inventory management systems.
  • Drive sales and control costs in order to deliver revenue and profitability targets in your areas of responsibility.
  • Be responsible for compliance with all relevant internal and external policy and legislation, including Health & Safety, COSHH, Food Safety, Allergens and Premises Licensing.
  • Manage relationships with third party food tenants, monitoring service level agreements, product range and customer service levels, in order to ensure that the venue is kept to the highest possible standard.
  • Assist in the creative process of menus and customer offerings.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, charismatic leader with minimum 2 years’ relevant management experience, gained either as Floor Manager, Bars Manager, Assistant Bars Manager or Duty Manager in an F&B led environment including live music, night club, restaurant service and cocktails.
  • Experience managing in venues larger than 150 guests and teams larger than 15 staff.
  • Keen commercial acumen and ability to analyse COGs & Gross Profits and present data in concise, actionable formats.
  • Comfortable with and experienced in using a variety of digital applications to manage business processes, particularly EPOS and inventory management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills as well as the knowledge and skills to coach and mentor at every level.
  • Must be a Personal License holder.
