Children's Activity Instructor

Based: Kensington leisure Centre Salary: up to 12.70 per hour

GLL is looking for a Children's Activity Instructor to join the team at Kensington Leisure centre to assist with the Birthday Parties and Soft Play. You'll be involved in key aspects of the operational services for the climbing tower as it is delivered at various local weekend events.

 

You'll be the sort of person who thrives in a busy environment and will be unfazed by the variety of the role. You could be doing anything from customer service and equipment set up to ensuring the general safety and cleanliness of areas and equipment to ensure our customers get a fun yet safe experience. You'll deliver climbing sessions on our mobile climbing tower in an engaging, enthusiastic and safe manner to climbers of all levels, from children and adults to those with physical and/or learning disabilities. You'll help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for customers, so you'll need good communication and people skills.

 

Ideally, you'll have a passion for climbing and a willingness to learn. You'll be given full training plus opportunities to learn to deliver indoor rope wall sessions. Previous experience in a customer-facing role is highly desirable as you'll deliver excellent customer service and high-quality sessions to children and adults. You'll also have a valid D1 driving licence, allowing you to drive a minibus as you'll drive the mobile climbing tower to and from each location.
