To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Bar Supervisor to join the centre.

Lilleshall is one of Sport England`s National Sports Centres and is home to a number of National Governing Bodies of Sport. Lilleshall provides excellent facilities to Britain’s leading sports men and women.  We are also a Conferencing and Event Centre, boasting a large number of recently refurbished rooms and outdoor spaces for weddings, corporate events, and team-building days.

As the Bar Supervisor, the purpose of your role will be to support the bar team in achieving high standards of service and customer care at all times whilst ensuring compliance with licensing laws.

This is a really important role to Lilleshall as you will be responsible for promoting the bar with a view to increasing sales for the bar and in line with the business objectives. You will be aiming for you and the staff you supervise to do your utmost to ensure all customers who visit have a positive experience whilst providing the best service possible.

The role will be varied, and no two days will be the same. Some of the successful candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include supervising the work of bar staff, ensuring relevant stocks are maintained at appropriate levels and ensuring brand standards are promoted and maintained to name a few.

Furthermore, making sure financial and cash procedures are complied with, applying good housekeeping principles, and working with management in developing business plans and budgets will form part of the role.

About you

The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who like the members of staff at Lilleshall, pride and strive to give the best service possible for those who visit the centre and go the extra mile for colleagues and customers when required.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate previous experience in supervision or management in an area such as retail, a service led company or a licensed bar and you will also hold a BIIAB National Certificate for Personal License Holders and a BIIAB National Certificate in Licensed Retailing Operations or equivalent to be considered for this role.

Whilst not essential, it would be desirable to hold a CIEH or RIPH Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety or a Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering. If you can demonstrate a strong knowledge of licensing laws, this would also be of benefit.
