What you need to know about the role...
Having recently raised 30 m from our shareholders to enable us to accelerate the opening of new sites, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, qualified accountant to join the TGG Finance team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening reporting and control around capital expenditure and our fixed asset and lease accounting, ensuring we are well placed for the next phase of our growth.

Principal accountabilities
  • Establish, maintain and ensure adherence to Fixed Asset policies and procedures
  • Perform the month end accounting for fixed assets and leases and implement process improvements as
  • necessary
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Accounting module of ERP system and ensure completeness of entity balance sheets with full reconciliations of designated balance sheet accounts
  • Enhance the monthly reporting of fixed asset movements and develop KPIs
  • Prepare PPE and Right of use asset notes for the Group and subsidiary financial statements and act as the main point of contact for all audit requirements for fixed and leased assets
  • Provide support to the Tax department in calculations of capital allowances that can be claimed in respect of capital expenditure
  • Support the Property department with evaluating and reporting on capital expenditure for new sites and refurbishments and embedding the new Estates Management System for capital projects
  • Support the Technology department with evaluating and reporting on capital expenditure for Tech projects
  • Lead/play a key role in other process improvement projects as they arise
  • Work with the wider Finance Team to deliver the team's objectives and roadmap

We're looking for someone who is clearly able to demonstrate
  • Finalist/Newly Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Good understanding of Key Financial Controls and experience of working in or with organisations with excellent control environments
  • Prior experience of process improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to challenge established thinking and achieve consensus
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage workload in a fast paced environment
  • A resilient individual, who can demonstrate flexibility in approach; a fast thinker with a desire to get the job done
  • Self motivated and able to work independently
  • Challenging mindset, using training and experience to identify the need for change/improvement
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and good at building relationships
  • Problem solver that can identify issues and suggest and implement solutions
  • Proficient in Excel

Desirable
  • Previous experience of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience working with fixed asset module of an ERP system
  • Experience of preparing accounting and audit schedules and notes
