Salary

  • £21,320 p.a. (pro rata for part time)
  • Salaried position, 40 hours per week with paid lunch breaks and overtime.
  • Shift working with regular days off and no split shifts.

As a Maintenance Technician, with us your days will vary.     Your responsibilities as a Maintenance Assistant

  • Carry out required painting, redecoration and general maintenance duties.
  • Carry out preparation/repair/application of finishing products as necessary.
  • Undertake both responsive and planned maintenance of painting and decoration.
  • Carry out maintenance, repair and installation work.
  • Execute workmanship using own initiative, to a high standard and ensure it is carried out in strict compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, and any other relevant legislation covering safety in the workplace for self and others.
  • Keep your Line Manager aware of progress and problems in a timely manner.
  • Carry out planned maintenance tasks of plant and equipment
  • Maintain and repair the fabric of the buildings, including redecoration, plumbing, carpentry and upkeep of the grounds and external services as required.
  • Install, move and modify office furniture as required and to assist in the installation and modification of services.
  • Receive small deliveries, courier mail, small packets etc., logging of package details and arranging collection from reception by individual.

Requirements of Maintenance Assistant

Given the nature of this role it is important that you have some experience in building maintenance. Whether you are a painter & decorator, a plumber, a joiner, an electrician, or even just all-round handy person, we would like to hear from you.

You should have exceptional customer service skills, be a clear communicator and be able to demonstrate great teamwork. Experience in a similar role is desirable but site specific training will be given.

The role is very hands on, so a can do, and proactive approach is essential and forms part of our ‘One Team’ ethos.
