Healthy Living Instructor - Cardiac - Bath And North East Somerset
GLL is looking for Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructors to deliver on our cardiac programme around Bath and North East Somerset to help improve people's level of fitness, health - and ultimately, quality of life.
GLL is a charitable social enterprise and the UK's largest leisure provider, partnering with local authorities to run leisure centres, swimming pools and world-class sporting venues. As a not-for-profit organisation, we're different. Reinvesting back into our facilities, communities and people, we're growing - and are committed to developing the skills of our Instructors too, through accredited and on-the-job training.
Across our partnerships we deliver a number of Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation programmes supporting a clinical referral pathway to a physical activity programme. Our Health Teams work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside a number of NHS Trusts to provide support to patients that have suffered a cardiac event.
This collaborative working offers an integrated service with Cardiac teams and provides a smooth transition from both Hospital and community Phase III rehabilitation to Phase IV classes enabling patients to remain physically active within a safe and effective environment.
Ideally, we're looking for experienced Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructors - people inspired by the opportunity to make a difference. That means you'll need to be REPS registered with Level 4 Cardiac Rehabilitation Qualification and experience of delivering physical activity sessions to those referred with cardiac conditions. In addition to BACPR qualification you will also need a Level 2 Gym Instructor and a Level 3 GP Referral qualification is desirable.
In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
