Summary

Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of the passionate Rhosili team this role as a Service Assistant plays a core part in providing fantastic service to both retail and food & beverage customers in our shop. Do you enjoy helping people, providing great service and having variety in your working day? This job might just be perfect for you!

Hours:?This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role that will include weekend and bank holiday working (no evenings or split shifts) from the beginning of March to mid November 2022.?Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’ll give you as much notice of this as possible. 

The Salary:? £9.60 per hour

Duration: Fixed term contract until 13th November 2022 

Due to our location own transport may be needed.

What it's like to work here

The National Trust shop at Rhosili, housing a new for 2022 takeaway food & beverage operation, is found high on the cliff top with glorious views over the beautiful Rhossili Bay and the iconic Worm’s Head. We welcome thousands of visitors to our shop every year from the beginning of March to early November.

We are a small, friendly team who enjoy engaging with our visitors about our products, the work of the National Trust and sharing our love for Gower. We take pride in our work, maintaining high visual merchandising and customer service standards as befits a National Trust shop.

What you'll be doing

With your love of working with people and desire to provide an excellent service, you’ll work across both our retail and food & beverage operations to make sure that all visitors have an outstanding customer service experience. You’ll acknowledge, welcome and engage every visitor to our shop, offering them help and advice with their purchases and look for ways to go the extra mile to make their experience memorable.  This means you’re always on hand to help and to ensure that the shop is maintained to a high standard. 

As a key member of our food & beverage and retail team, you’ll ensure that stock is available, displayed in a pleasing way, is correctly priced and available for purchase. You’ll learn the ropes on the tills and on our very easy to use bean to cup coffee machines. You’ll look to maximise the profit and sales generated at our special place by ensuring that every opportunity is taken to increase our sales and averagecustomer spend, whilst also letting our customers know about the amazing work we are doing and what their money is funding – whether this is financing local projects or promoting our national strategy, cause and membership offer.
