Summary

As Welcome and Service Assistant it’s your role to ensure that every aspect of our visitor experience is going to delight our customers. In this role you will be welcoming visitors across four of our coastal car parks in Ll?n: Porthdinllaen, Porthor, Llanbedrog and Henfaes (Aberdaron). You will also be expected to work at Porth y Swnt, our visitor centre in Aberdaron.  
This is an hourly paid, fixed-term role to 18 September 2022 and you will be expected to work 6 hours a day over 5 days per week.

The Ll?n Peninsula is an ancient land, rich in culture and history. From iconic beaches to picture perfect fishing villages, the idyllic coastline of Ll?n has been enjoyed by generations of visitors who appreciate its breath-taking beauty, rich wildlife and fascinating heritage.  
Our four car parks are important hubs that serve as an access point from which visitors can enjoy a day on the beach, access the Wales Coast Path and explore the wider area. 
Our visitor centre, Porth y Swnt is an exciting visitor experience showcasing the special qualities which make the Ll?n Peninsula so unique in terms of history, culture and environment. It’s a place to explore, learn, reflect and enjoy a glimpse of what Ll?n is all about as well as get ideas for activities, walks, attractions, and things to do on the peninsula.

Mae Porth y Swnt yn brofiad ymwelwyr cyffrous sy’n arddangos y gorau o hanes, diwylliantac amgylchedd unigryw Penrhyn Ll?n. Mae’n lle i archwilio, dysgu, myfyrio a chael cip arfywyd Ll?n yn ogystal â chael syniadau am weithgareddau, teithiau cerdded, atyniadau aphethau i’w gwneud ar y penrhyn.

What you'll be doing

Visitors are a vital part of what we do. As the Welcome and Service Assistant it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is warm and informative, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of their day. You’ll be responsible for welcoming visitors to our car parks and Porth y Swnt. You’ll take the time to listen to and understand our visitors’ needs and go the extra mile to exceed their expectations. You'll develop an outstanding knowledge of the area and be able to promote the work that we do and ways to support us. In addition, you’ll ensure high standards of presentation across our sites, carrying out litter picking and toilet cleaning. You'll be comfortable regularly working weekends and bank holidays.

Who we're looking for

  • Can demonstrate an empathetic, understanding and adaptable approach to different people’s needs, with a passion to deliver the highest standards of customer care. 
  • Proven experience of working to measurable targets 
  • Good team worker- flexible and adaptable and willing to grow experience and skillset across several different operation aspects of the property 
  • Skilled listener with great people skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Well organised and able to work with minimum supervision.
