Mercure Dumfries Cargenholm House Hotel will be opening this year and we are currently recruiting the team! Mercure Dumfries Cargenholm House Hotel’s striking design is inspired by former resident who was a British Naval Officer renowned for making many important discoveries during his Antarctic voyage. Contemporary design elements throughout the property are inspired by this expedition in a way that evokes curiosity among guests to learn more about the fascinating history behind the building.

The hotel will have approx. 62 rooms, likely consisting of compact doubles to superior family rooms with free Wifi available for all guests. There will have a restaurant, bar and there will be on-site parking.

Your role in our family:

As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you’ll deliver a friendly and efficient service; to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests and ensure they have a great experience. You’ll be attentive to our guests needs from the moment they arrive, make recommendations and serve accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

As a F&B Assistant, key to your role:

• Deliver an exceptional level of service through a relaxed and professional approach – checking in with guest at each course to ensure satisfaction
• Serve guest and passing on your excellent product knowledge of all food and beverage
• Work as part of the team, help-out your fellow team members where necessary
• Encourage the highest standards across all areas (customer service, hygiene, health and safety)
• Complete opening and closing duties, re-stock as required.
• Team-orientated
• Have a professional appearance at all time
