About The Role

toyou (Asda Parcel Services) is a rapidly growing and evolving business unit within ASDA Logistic Service. We manage the delivery of over 20 million parcels each year and we are constantly growing. We do not just serve ASDA's Customers, we also serve over a hundred big name retail brands including Boohoo, ASOS, Decathlon to name only a few. Our growth means we are looking for a candidate to help drive and shape our current and future success as we branch into other opportunities. The successful candidate will sit at the very heart of the toyou business team, being a key driver in its continued success.

You will:

  • Work with key stakeholders to formulate a plan of development opportunities via our agile product intake process.
  • Work with senior stakeholders and our agile development team to prioritise the plan delivery.
  • Document our stakeholder requirements for our agile development team to build against.
  • Agree delivery and deployment timescales with our agile delivery team.
  • Ensure the technical build meet our requirements and ensure user acceptance testing is completed.
  • Support deployment testing and post go-live defect management.
  • Support with larger initiatives that go via our project route rather than agile process.
  • Ensure adequate training materials are in place.
  • Production of senior presentation packs on what is being prioritised and what has been delivered.
  • Line management of support analysts for the purposes of UAT, deployment support, training materials and some BAU business application support.  
  • The role will be based in ASDA House and may include an element of home working as per company policy and guidelines. However the ability to travel to distribution centres and stores to gather requirements and review any implementation activity is essential. 

What you'll need:

  • A background in IT / Technology delivery programs including agile and waterfall methodology would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience with designing process flows and user experience diagrams would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in logistics and/or ecommerce would be useful, but not essential.
  • A degree of technical proficiency and an ability to understand complex business problems/opportunities.
  • Forward thinking with the ability to make recommendations.
  • Self-motivated and analytical.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technological solution in simple terms to both clients and wider business stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience preferred
