The Role

 Supporting the Creative team in the design and development of all print and digital elements, the Junior Designer will work in collaboration with the Creative Director, Senior Designer, Mid-weight designer, and the Studio Manager to produce quality and consistent designs for the three Red Engine brands.

 

You will be encouraged to take ownership of key elements of any given project and demonstrate initiative to check, repair and/or flag creative issues to the Senior Designer and the wider team. They will have a passion for personal development and have an interest in design across all mediums ensuring a consistent brand, look and experience for our audience.  

 

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Creating website assets such as new webpage designs, web banners, and animated GIFs.
  • Designing printed materials such as menus, postcards, leaflets, and posters.
  • Producing digital assets such as social posts, email headers, and venue screen graphics.
  • Working alongside the Head of Design and the Marketing team to produce campaign materials.
  • Producing production ready, art-worked materials.
  • Communicating regularly with the Creative Director and Studio Manager to ensure complete understanding, tracking of time and update on progress.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • At least one years' experience in the creative industry
  •  A desire to work in a creative studio across all mediums
  • Some experience working with print suppliers and an understanding or production processes
  • Proven ability to deliver assigned projects on time and in the desired quality.
  • A portfolio of artwork for review.
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop are essential.
  • Experience using Adobe XD, After Effects, and Animate are welcome.
  • Some experience of website design or game design is encouraged.
