As a Medical Records Administrator at our Cambridge Hospital you'll be proud to join our growing energetic team. You'll have great communication, IT and keyboard skills, you'll also able to work alongside multiple departments and have the ability to multitask.
Our Medical Records department currently have an opportunity for a Medical Records Administrator.
The Opportunity
As a Medical Records Administrator your varied responsibilities will include general team administration and range from filing, retrieval, archiving, manual handling and general upkeep of medical records. You will regularly engage with hospital departments to provide an effective service for the hospital and its consultants, in delivery of hospital notes throughout the building.
As our Medical Records Administrator you will:
Provide excellent administrative assistance within the team.
Support your colleagues by delivering administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing/archiving, sorting post.
Complete electronic and/or manual data entry
Retrieve data in an accurate and timely manner
Scan patient notes onto the hospital system.
The Role
Supporting the transaction of the medical records process
Work calmly in our high volume department
Prepare clinical notes for outpatient and inpatient departments
Prepare clinic administration
The Person
To succeed as a Medical Records Administrator you will need:
Excellent verbal and written skills
Excellent IT skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent administrator skills
The ability to be proactive, we would like someone who continually looks to improve processes and ways of working
GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification
Medical Records department is operational Monday-Friday 09.00-18.00 so you will be required to work flexibly within these hours. There may also be a requirement to work at the weekends if the service indicates.
