Job Description

We're looking for a talented Designate General Manager to join us at our Dagenham Mecca Venue.

Our business is evolving and we're looking for people who are up for the challenge of taking our Bingo Clubs on a journey to the future. We are looking for specifically for a Designate General Manager who has ambitions to be a General Manager within 6-12 months. We will offer you a clear career path and give you all the tools you need to become a General Manager of your own club.

As a Bingo business, we have operated in an environment where the key skills needed were revenue extraction and cost control. So, what's changed? Mecca Bingo is part of The Rank Group and as a business, we're going through a 3-year Transformation Programme, meaning that we need to shake things up a bit. We're moving into a period of rapid change and huge investment.

You will be responsible for shaping and influencing the business to drive its success whilst acquiring and retaining customers and delivering a memorable experience in a safe and responsible way.

Not sure whether to apply? We're happy to hear from people within the Leisure, Hospitality or Retail business. Maybe you've worked in pubs, had your own entertainment venue or spent long weekends working in retail... if so then you probably have the resilience and passion for customer experience that we're looking for.

If you're a change agent who is excited about the prospect of keeping the tradition of Bingo alive, but also turning our venues into somewhere you'd take a group of friends for a different kind of night out, then we'd love to hear from you; we can't promise it'll be easy, but we can promise it'll be fun.


Qualifications

You don't need to have a background in Bingo; all we ask is that you have experience of working in a Designate, Assistant or Trainee General Manager role, or even a GM of a smaller venue, a growth mindset with a focus on expanding the local customer-base, a passion for people that releases the energy and values of our team and a passion for our business that inspires those around them.
