GROUP SUPPORT CHEF – STANGE & Co. Ltd – covering sites across North & Mid Wales

Full Time – 48 hours per week

Salary £12-£13 p/h plus tips OTE £35,000, generous expenses and company benefits

We are looking to recruit a roving chef to join our central support team and assist our busy kitchens at our sites in North & Mid Wales. This will be a great position for someone who is looking to move into a more senior position, or who is looking for a variable and interesting role.

Stange & Co are an expanding family company. We are acutely aware that we are only as good as our teams and realise it’s our people and their hard work that makes our pubs as successful as they are. We put our teams first and won’t be asking you to work above your contracted hours. You’ll always get 2 days off and we don’t open any of our sites for food on Christmas Day, so you’ll be guaranteed to be off every year, to enjoy the day with your family, or in someone else’s pub! Naturally this position will involve working away from home, so a generous mileage allowance is provided. Accommodation where appropriate will be provided, but most of the sites are within an hours’ drive of each other.

What we’re looking for:

A creative and talented chef with experience to at least sous level, who is looking for a progressive and challenging role in a bustling kitchen. Your role will involve being flexible and travelling to any of our Welsh sites, leading sections and generally assisting the teams with the day-to day operation of our kitchens, so you must be able to work well as one of the team. You must also have the ability to get on with anyone and everyone as the job will take you from kitchen to kitchen working with lots of different chefs, managers and front of house teams. Our chefs create their own menus and always welcome ideas from the whole of the team. We are well known for serving the finest of fresh locally sourced produce and our regularly changing menus reflect this.

Previous experience of working in similar kitchens is essential as we know you’ll have the attitude and work ethos we’re looking for – an experienced chef who shares our love of everything foody and brings passion and flair to the kitchen.
