About the Role
This role will be supporting the Attraction Manager in several key areas of the business including the share position as a trained Duty Manager. You will manage the day to day operation supervising and training a team of up to 25 seasonal instructors as well as cabin hosts and ground crew, alongside minimising customer complaints, ensure site safety of Adventurers and staff, and carry out other operational tasks.
As the Commercial Team Leader you will manage the day to day operation of the cabin, café & retail areas, ensuring that first class service is being delivered and profits are being maximised. You will supervise a team of seasonal hosts and instructors with a hands on approach; actively ensuring high standards of customer service and training. You will actively seek ways to increase revenue and ensure that the department stocktaking is carried out efficiently and wastage and loss is kept to a minimum. All orders are made and delivered within specified timescales and budgets with the unit remaining fully stocked. You will performance manage the team and enforce Health & Safety policies, procedures and cleaning standards. The role will also require the day to day management of the admissions for our high ropes course with the cabin, ensuring correct supervision, disclaimer paperwork, walk up admissions and event bookings. You will also be the driving force of standards across all KPI targets, supporting the Attraction Manager with all relevant training and team engagement to deliver top results and growth.
You will have excellent communication skills, high levels of energy and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service whilst inspiring your team to do the same. You will have the ability to work to your own initiative, to set goals and timescales and have a keen eye for detail and strong leadership skills. Finally you will be results-focused, confident at talking to our families, and be able to solve problems whilst keeping your 'cool' on a hot day.
Chessington World of Adventures Resort is looking for a professional, safety conscious individual, who has the ability to work without supervision. You must ensure the customer is always at the forefront of your mind, with a drive and passion to always improve their experience. Must be an enthusiastic team player and be able to work with other colleagues in a dynamic working environment. Whilst it will be a requirement to support with the course from time to time your primary focus is with the cabin areas and previous outdoor or adventure experience is advantageous but not essential.
Due to the nature of this role you need to be over the age of 18.
