Job Description

The role is focused the management and the development of commercially and strategically beneficial partnerships for the Belong business. Focusing on esports, non-endemic and peripheral partnerships as well as the development and running of the UK academy program.

Strategy & Leadership

  • Management of UK partnerships team
  • Development of Belong partnerships strategy & budgets
  • Identify and develop new initiatives and growth plans
  • Provide business updates to key stakeholders
  • Develop and manage the Belong UK Academy Program
  • Analyse trends in esports and gaming and provide recommendations to help evolve the Belong offering
  • Work with Belong US to support global strategy development and delivery

 

Partnerships Development and retention

  • Build proposals for existing partners, publishers and pro esports teams
  • Identify and secure potential opportunities with gaming and esports
  • Achieve commercial targets for owned accounts
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
  • Build and manage account plans with commercial relationship based targets
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators

 

Business Development

  • Identify new opportunities and relationships with esports and gaming
  • Attend industry events and functions to develop new opportunities and relationships that support Belong's strategic goals
  • Develop and manage the UK Academy program
  • Manage and develop key supplier and product relationships including all Belong equipment procurement and replacement

 

Reporting & Research

  • Support in forecasting of business and sales targets
  • Provide detailed reports and proposals based on current trends in esports and gaming
  • Provide partners and teams with regular updates of Belong performance and key account metrics

Qualifications

  • Experience working in esports and gaming is preffered
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Commercial understanding and track record of delivery vs targets
  • Strong communicator with the ability to strengthen and build external relationships
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Creative thinking and problem solving
  • Strong planning and time management skills
  • Must have proven ability to be flexible, multi task and drive key projects in a fast paced, high demand environment
