Purpose of role:

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with food or would like to learn more about it, who is organised and hard-working. You will work closely with the Kitchen Supervisor who will hand over to you and on your shifts you will have sole responsibility for heating, cooking & plating food orders during busy service times and cleaning down the kitchen. In addition you may need to assist on the bar during peak times, providing a friendly and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Taking handover over from the Kitchen Supervisor and preparing the kitchen for service
• Making sandwiches
• Receiving food orders from the bar staff, preparing and taking to customers if required
• Clearing tables
• Washing up and other miscellaneous kitchen porter duties
• Keeping the kitchen clean, including cleaning down at the end of the shift and adhering to a kitchen cleaning rota including a deep clean on Saturday evenings
• Assisting on the bar where necessary and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
• Using the till and other systems to ensure the correct recording of sales and stock
• Providing information to customers on the menu and other aspects of the theatre
• Working special events including largescale catering events
• Participating in deep cleans when the theatre is closed
• Adhering to the Company’s Health and Safety policy
