Gymnastic Coach - Belfast
Salary: Up to 9.90 per hour
GLL, the UK's largest leisure provider and one of the first and largest leisure social enterprises, is looking for Gymnastics Coaches in our leisure centres across Belfast for our lessons and courses for children and adults. Gymnastics is a key area of focus and investment for us. We're a key player in 2012 Olympic legacy and in turn, our gymnastics courses are more popular than ever. With over 51 training facilities, including four impressive, sought-after purpose built gymnastics training units, we teach gymnastics to over 10,000 children and trampoline to over 1,500. Although we're proud that our courses are so popular and have waiting lists for people to join, our aim is to get as many people off of those waiting lists and into lessons - and that's where you come in.
We are looking for people who are passionate about gymnastics to join our team. You do not have to hold a qualification in gymnastics as successful candidates will be enrolled on a British Gymnastics course as part of the induction process. We are therefore looking for people with experience of coaching sports and physical activity and those who can demonstrate an ability to teach groups of youth children with all abilities.
We want coaches that will thrive on seeing others develop and as your courses and lessons will be your own to lead and plan, you will influence their success and growth. Ensuring the lessons are enjoyable, you will be able to think on your feet and be creative with the facilities around you, still making sure that your pupils are constantly observed and kept safe. Due to our size and scale, there will be plenty of hours available for you to coach and the bigger our courses get, the more opportunity there will be to further develop your career with us. We invest in our people as well as our facilities and we aim to upskill and progress people throughout their time with us.
In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
Ride to work scheme
Discounted membership at our leisure centres
The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we're run plus associated social events
Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best
If you have the passion and skills for this role, apply now.
The welfare and safety of the children in our care is of the utmost importance to us at GLL. We follow safer recruitment procedures to ensure that our staff are checked and appropriate to work with children and young people. Therefore we'll require you to complete an enhance DBS check before you will be allowed to start work.
All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications and location.
To be shortlisted for the role, internal applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to GLL by becoming a Society member where eligible.
