About Us

Artfam is a “one of a kind” business. With its unique ethos, it's no surprise we won Independent Hotel of Year at The Catey's 2021! That power has come from a team who at every level share the beliefs, passions and ambitions of its founders, Iwan and Manuela Wirth.

Retail at Artfarm is at a truly exciting inflexion point. Having grown organically through individual retail offers in our portfolio of destinations across the group (in Somerset and Scotland) we are now ready to take our retail operation to the next level.  We are looking to build our retail team for the next stage of this journey.

We have existing, ambitious plans for further retail growth (including new stores opening in 2022 and onwards), and a wealth of creative inspiration waiting to be tapped from our growing portfolio of amazing destinations.  Ranging from the biggest cities to the remotest rural environments, with the signature Artfarm focus on creativity, culture and community - the possibilities are endlessly rich.

The role

Our Ecommerce Assistant will support the Head of Ecommerce to own and grow the Ecommerce P&L end-to-end for all of Artfarm’s retail brands, continuously optimizing trading performance to deliver ambitious growth plans.

  • Work closely with the Head of Ecommerce to own and deliver against ambitious ecommerce performance goals, working across all Artfarm retail brands (Durslade Farm Shop, Fife Arms Boutique, and more to come)
  • Ensure that the nuts and bolts of our ecommerce operation are working seamlessly for the customer: from product photography and copy upload, to fulfilment processes and customer service (working with our fulfilment partners)
  • Implement a structured and innovative marketing strategy for our ecommerce sites/products, across email, social and press; conduct robust assessments of marketing ROI to continually improve campaign performance
  • Work closely with the broader Artfarm marketing team to ensure that our ecommerce offer is fully aligned with and integrated into our wider brands and customer offer
  • Continuously optimize our ecommerce websites and marketing to maximise conversion and ATV, implementing strategies such as abandoned basket reminders, A/B testing, and more

What makes a brilliant Ecommerce Assistant?
  • Proven experience of growing an ecommerce business, ideally working with a range of product categories (across food and non-food) and brands (with both bricks & mortar and online presence)
  • Commercial ambition and drive, combined with a strong technical ecommerce skillset
  • Passionate about retail and hospitality with a good understanding of emerging trends
