In November 2021, we opened the doors to Nuffield Health at the historic Barbican Health Club. Located on Aldersgate Road, this site will become London's leading fitness and wellbeing centre with connected health services at the forefront of the journey.

Our new site consists of the Barbican Fitness and Wellbeing Club, Barbican Medical Centre and will partner our new London Hospital at St Bartholomews, the City of London's only independent hospital and the next step in our journey to building a healthier nation.

Our Barbican Health and Wellbeing Centre comprises of:

  • Four dedicated studios
  • State of the art techno gym equipment
  • Indoor running track
  • 25m Swimming pool
  • Medical centre
  • Pathology laboratory

Join us as a member of our Concierge team within our Fitness & Wellbeing team for Britain's largest not-for profit healthcare organisation and play your part in building a healthier nation

The Role

You will support the smooth running of our reception and café areas. As a Member of the Front of House Team you will;

  • Help us to create a friendly, relaxing and professional environment.
  • Provide exceptional and efficient customer service to everyone who visits the Fitness & Wellbeing Centre.
  • Give a warm welcome and answer queries in a caring and helpful way, making sure everyone feels valued.
  • Answer the phone, deal with enquiries and take accurate messages, ensuring they are followed up quickly.
  • Cross train for other Concierge functions within the Barbican site.

The Person

To succeed as our Concierge, you will;

  • Have great communication skills, whether face-to-face or on the phone. You will have the confidence and empathy to provide excellent customer care to all sorts of people.
  • Have experience of dealing with people at all levels, be well presented and professional.
  • Be self-motivated, with plenty of initiative. You also have experience of delivering great service and have excellent organisation skills.
  • Be highly reliable, proactive, energetic and passionate about your job, willing to go the extra mile and maintain a calm, professional and friendly manner.
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with members so they feel it is a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Become a Nuffield Health Fire Marshall soon after joining and be encouraged to become a Health and Safety officer.
  • Read and understand all relevant parts of the Company Health and Safety policy manuals.
  • Have basic computer skills, including the use of Word and Excel.

Salary - Up to £20,000.00 per annum, depending on experience
