As a Fitness & Wellbeing Manager at our corporate site based at UBS, you've previously worked as a personal or fitness trainer. You're qualified to REPs Level 3 or CIMSPA Practitioner level and you bring studio experience. You also have a track record of driving PT revenue, as well as designing fitness programmes for groups and individuals.

As a Fitness & Wellbeing Manager, you will:

  • To build effective working relationships at all levels, to deliver stakeholders' expectations and requirements, to manage, motivate and lead the team and to optimise member experience of the facility, through their knowledge, professional capability, and clear communication skills.

  • To ensure all standard operational and compliance processes are complete and up to date, including health and safety, such that all Health and Safety risks to members and staff are kept to an absolute minimum.

  • To demonstrate the attributes and qualities of a role model, effective team player and dynamic, able leader. You will have high visibility in the facility and be highly confident working one to one in a professional capacity as a Personal Trainer, or as an instructor or presenter leading a studio class or presenting to a large stakeholder group of all levels, respectively.

  • To develop and manage the Personal Trainers in professional and personal performance (including underperformance, lateness, sickness and behaviour not aligned to client and Nuffield Health standards), with clear goals and objectives for the team and individual members. You will ensure that they have and clearly demonstrate in their work, a thorough understanding of the client behaviours, principals and service standards through their attitude, capabilities and work ethos to deliver excellent organisational quality, measurable health improvements and individual and team commercial objectives.

  • You will show both commercial awareness and business/financial acumen, producing timely accurate reports as required by the client, stake holders and Assistant Programme Director. Additionally, you will produce a monthly high-level summary of all Fitness Related services and products.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • A thorough working knowledge and understanding of the 'Technogym My Wellness' Cloud System such that you are able to manage this and integrate its' use with both members and staff to optimise each session and staff development.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and can demonstrate an understanding of wellbeing corporate strategy and service standard requirements.

  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, able to prioritise and effectively manage a work load in relation to deadlines and targets.

  • Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen, with experience of working towards targets and objectives.

  • Management experience of dealing with underperformance and managing sickness and lateness as well as creating PERs, including continued professional and technical development.

  • Is able to demonstrate they are able to work with a large team, outside of their specific specialisation, to deliver a first class quality integrated health and wellbeing product and facility

  • Confident IT skills - Word and Excel; Gym Manager is desirable
